How to get rid of ads

canstockphoto21799486During the past three years I spent a lot of time in classrooms with teachers and students using Choosito to help them find good resources for their projects. As you know, Choosito displays no ads.  There are many websites, however, including sites you can find in Choosito’s Library that have tons of ads. This is because most free content on the web comes with a price: ads!  If we exclude web resources with ads we won’t be left with much and there is a lot of good content out there published by reliable sources.

So, do you have to live with ads?

NO!

No, no, no, you don’t have to live with all those annoying ads popping up on almost every website you visit. You really don’t.

And here’s how to get rid of them once and for all.

Go to  https://adblockplus.org/, select your browser and download the plugin. You don’t even need to restart your browser. I have used it with Firefox for several years and it’s not less than a miracle.  It is available for all popular browsers, including Chrome, Safari, and IE.

Your web experience will change for ever and your students will stay focused. Let me show you.

Why  put up with this?

When you can offer your students this?

If your school computers don’t have it, let the technical stuff know and ask them to install it. It’s 100% safe and tried out. For Firefox alone, there are 20 million users who have installed and over 4,000 five-star reviews.
