Do you see these weird hashtags everywhere and have no idea what they are or how to use them? This post is for you.
When you post on twitter you can add a hashtag at the end of your post, e.g., #commoncore. What this will do is to make your post accessible to other people on twitter who are interesting in the topic. If you have a twitter account, try this. Go to the search box on top and type #commoncore. You will see the most recent posts on this topic not only by people you follow but by anyone who used the hashtag.
Reversely, it’s a good idea to use hashtags in your posts when you post thoughts or information that would be of interest to other people searching for your hashtag.
Having said that, don’t overdo it! Don’t spam with hashtags. Use two or three relevant to the topic of your post is best.
